1897 George M Cohan Sheet Music When My Lize Rolls the Whites of Her Eyes

Rare copy of “When My Lize Rolls the Whites of Her Eyes” by George M. Cohan.
Published in 1897 when Cohan was 19 (or possibly 18) years old, this is one of his earliest published songs.
Sheet music is large format, approximately 11.7" x 14".
Music:
There is an introduction of eight bars which seem to be different than the rest of the song and may have been added by the publisher.
The verse is rather plain but the melody picks up in the chorus.
Many of Cohan’s other songs show a similar pattern.
Condition:
The paper is very brittle and has missing chips and a few tears.
There is a large tear at the bottom edge.
The paper shows age-tanning and a few small stains.
The music was printed on inexpensive paper similar to newsprint.
One side has a serrated edge (see photo).
